You can take short hikes in the surrounding pine forests. If you take trekking seriously, then a day long trek to the nearby forest villages can also be arranged. We have porters and guides but you need to inform us beforehand.

More than 200 species of birds have been spotted in and around Parmaguri which includes Babblers, Flowerpeckers, Sunbirds, Accentors, Munias, Snowfinches, Rosefinches, Bullfinches, Wagtails, Hoppoes, Tits, Buntings, Larks, Warblers, Bulbuls, Fulvettas, thrishes, wrens, forktails and many more.
Tea Garden visits
Parmaguri is near to some of the best tea gardens in the world. The beautiful gardens on the way to Mirik or the splendid slopes of the tea gardens near to Darjeeling is very appealing to tea lovers of the world. You can take long walks through these gardens or even visit tea factories to watch tea processing. One of the tea estates offering tea factory visits is Happy Valley Tea Factory.
Picnics
If you want, we can arrange picnics in some secluded spots around Parmaguri. You can choose some lesser know viewpoints within the pine forest or maybe a lakeside or tea garden. We would make all the arrangements for you – starting from food to transportation to short hikes around the picnic spot.
Campfire & Barbeque
The crackling sound of the dry woods burning under the starry nights within a pine forest and a country chicken being roasted on the frolicking flames while you sit around the fire with your friends and family and the local village boy sings some local songs in Nepali.
